(142) 1 Month...

Wow!! I can't believe that Baby L is already one month old (yesterday). Time has flown by... and then again it hasn't. Seems like yesterday that we were in the hospital waiting for her arrival.

I can remember most of what happened that day. But it is funny what memories your brain regains as time goes on. You think you have remembered everything and then your mind gets jarred and something new comes to mind. As Gru from Despicable Me says, "Lightbulb".

I look back on this month and think on some things this miniature human has taught me:

- Patience is a journey.
- Worry is something that is not fully comprehended until you have a child.
- You will at some point want to hang your child up on the wall.
- A sense of humor is a MUST.
- Go with your gut. What might work for some parents, might not work for you.
- Baby snuggles make everything better.
- The amount of diapers one miniature human can go through is both amazing and appalling.
- If you want to finish a meal while it is still warm, load the kid up in the car seat and go out to eat. (This is true for us, might not be for you.)
- "Baby Blues" is very real and hits without warning.
- After the first week, your body automatically gets up at 2am.
- Do not take showers for granted... enjoy them before the kid comes.

Of course, that is not everything she has taught me. But they are a few things that come to mind this early in the morning. So on that note, I leave you with Baby L's one pic (or 2)...
